The CCEW form is designed to be easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile devices. Here are the key elements and features that will help you move around the form efficiently.

Desktop sidebarOn desktop devices, you’ll see a sidebar with common form actions and a “Form Progress” indicator. This shows you how much of the form you’ve completed and which sections still need your attention.
The progress bar updates in real-time as you fill out each section.

Form review features

Review form modal

At any time, you can click the “Review Form” button to open a modal that shows a summary of all the data you’ve entered. This is a great way to review the form for accuracy before downloading it.
Always use the review modal before downloading to catch any errors or missing information.

Save status indicator

The form automatically saves your progress as you type. The save status indicator in the sidebar (desktop) or floating toolbar (mobile) will let you know the current status of your form.
Your data is saved locally in your browser, so you can return to complete forms later.

Form validation

Real-time validation

The form includes real-time validation that highlights required fields and shows helpful error messages as you type.
Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*) and will show validation messages if left empty.

Use the “Validate Form” button to check all sections at once and identify any missing required fields or validation errors.
The validation button provides a comprehensive check of your entire form before downloading.

Section navigation

Use the section headers to quickly jump between different parts of the form.

Auto-save feature

Your progress is automatically saved as you type.

Mobile optimisation

The form is fully optimised for mobile devices with touch-friendly controls.

Keyboard shortcuts

Use Tab to navigate between fields and Enter to submit sections where applicable.

Save current form data as a profile for future use. You can save one installer and one tester profile per account.

Edit, update, and delete saved profiles from your account settings.

NSW licence lookup

Pro users can verify NSW electrical licence details directly from the form:

Click search icon

Look for the magnifying glass icon next to licence number fields in Installer or Tester sections.

Enter search criteria

Search by licence number or licence holder name for accurate verification.

Select correct licence

Choose from search results to auto-populate licence details including expiry dates.

Form data management

Control how your forms are stored and accessed at different stages:
Pro users can enable automatic cloud saving of work-in-progress forms. Your draft is saved every few seconds as you type, allowing seamless cross-device editing and preventing data loss.
When enabled in your preferences, completed forms are automatically saved to your account for future access and editing.
Free users can access their 3 most recent saved forms, while Pro users have unlimited access to their complete form history.
Toggle form saving on/off anytime, with options to keep or delete existing saved forms when disabling. Separate controls for draft auto-save and completed form saving.
Reload any saved form or draft to make changes and generate updated PDFs without starting from scratch.
