## Billing FAQ
Download limits apply only to generating final PDF certificates. You can
preview PDFs unlimited times, edit forms as much as needed, and load saved
forms without affecting your limit. Only when you click "Download PDF" for a
completed certificate does it count toward your monthly limit.
Download limits reset on the first day of each calendar month. If you use
all 3 downloads in January, you'll get 3 new downloads on February 1st. Pro
users never hit limits regardless of usage.
If you downgrade from Pro to Free, you'll only be able to access your 3 most
recent saved forms. Older forms remain in your account but are hidden until
you upgrade again. No data is deleted.
Invoices and receipts are available for all Pro payments. Click your avatar
in the top right → Account Settings → Subscription tab → Manage billing,
then click **View Invoices** to download PDFs for your records. Free
accounts don't have billing history since there are no charges.
You'll receive an email notification and we'll retry the payment
automatically. If payment continues to fail, your Pro access will be paused
and you'll revert to Free plan limits until payment is updated.
Click your avatar in the top right → Account Settings → Subscription tab →
Manage billing, then click **Edit Payment Method** to update your card
securely.

# Best practices and pro tips
Source: https://docs.ccew.com.au/examples/best-practices
Learn expert techniques to maximize efficiency, avoid common mistakes, and get the most out of the CCEW app
Go beyond the basics and learn how to get the most out of the CCEW app with these proven best practices and pro tips.
## General workflow
### Complete forms on site
Fill out the CCEW form while you're still on site. This reduces the chance of forgetting crucial details and saves you from having to make a return trip.
Use the mobile-optimised form interface to complete certificates directly on your phone or tablet.
### Validate before downloading
Always use the "Validate Form" button before downloading. This will run validation across the entire form and highlight any invalid fields, and clear out errors on completed fields. It's a quick way to catch missing required fields and other simple errors.
Don't skip validation - it only takes a few seconds and can save you from issuing incorrect certificates.
### Review before sending
Use the "Review Form" modal to give everything a final once-over. It's much easier to spot a mistake in the summary view than by scrolling through the entire form preview or download.
The review modal shows all your data in a clean, organised format for easy verification.
## Profile management strategies
### Create role-specific profiles
If you work in different capacities (installer vs tester), save separate profiles for each role. This prevents confusion and ensures accuracy.
You can save one installer profile and one tester profile per account.
### Keep profiles current
Whenever your licence is renewed or your contact details change, update and re-save your profile. This ensures all future CCEWs are accurate.
Set calendar reminders to review and update your profiles quarterly and after licence renewals.
### Use profile loading strategically
Choose the correct profile for your role on the current job (installer vs tester).
Always review auto-filled information to ensure it's current and appropriate for the specific job.
Make any necessary adjustments for the current job without affecting your saved profile.
If changes are permanent (like new address or renewed licence), update and re-save your profile.
## Data validation and accuracy
### Customer information
Take advantage of Google Maps address autocomplete to ensure accurate addresses.
Address autocomplete is a Pro-only feature providing unlimited searches for efficient address entry.
Double-check phone numbers and email addresses. Typos here can prevent important communications.
Fill in all available customer information to provide complete documentation for regulatory purposes.
### Technical information
Ensure all technical specifications (supply characteristics, earthing arrangements, etc.) are accurate and complete.
Double-check all test measurements and ensure they meet the required standards before submission.
Review all compliance questions carefully and provide accurate responses based on actual installation conditions.
### Documentation completeness
Before generating your CCEW, verify:
* All mandatory fields are completed
* Technical specifications match the actual installation
* Test results are within acceptable ranges
* Compliance declarations are accurate
* Customer and installer/tester details are correct
Incomplete or inaccurate information can lead to compliance issues and may require re-inspection.
## Subscription optimisation
### Understanding tier benefits
* 3 PDF downloads per month
* 3 recent forms saved automatically (opt-in)
* Manual address entry with validation
* Basic features best suited for occasional users
* Unlimited PDF downloads
* Unlimited form saving and history (opt-in)
* Smart address autocomplete with unlimited searches
* NSW licence verification
### Making the most of your plan
Track your monthly PDF downloads and plan important jobs accordingly.
Take advantage of smart address autocomplete, licence verification, and unlimited form storage to work more efficiently.
Review your usage patterns to determine if your current plan meets your needs or if an upgrade would be beneficial.
## Compliance and record-keeping
### Create a system for PDFs
Don't just dump your downloaded PDFs into a random folder. Create a clear folder structure (e.g., by year, then by month, then by client) to make it easy to find a specific CCEW later.
Use consistent naming conventions like "CCEW\_ClientName\_Date\_SerialNumber.pdf"
### Backup your records
Regularly back up your CCEW PDFs to a separate location (e.g., a cloud storage service). These are legal documents, and you're required to keep them for several years.
CCEW certificates are legal documents that must be retained for compliance purposes. Don't rely on a single storage location.

# Common questions
Source: https://docs.ccew.com.au/faq
Common questions about CCEW forms, the tool, and account features
Here are some common questions about the CCEW app, organised by topic for easy navigation.
A Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) is a mandatory legal
document in New South Wales required for most types of electrical work. It
serves as a declaration by the licensed electrician that the work has been
completed, inspected, and tested to ensure it complies with all relevant
safety standards, including AS/NZS 3000 (the Australian Wiring Rules) and
applicable Australian Standards.
A CCEW is required for almost all electrical installation work, including
new installations, alterations, additions, and repairs. It must be completed
and given to the customer and the electricity distributor within the
required timeframe. Some minor work may be exempt, but when in doubt, it's
always safer to provide a CCEW.
Only a licensed electrical contractor or a qualified electrician employed by
that contractor is authorised to complete, sign, and issue a CCEW. The
licence holder is personally responsible for the accuracy of the information
and the compliance of the work.
A CCEW must contain comprehensive details including: electrician details
(names, licence numbers), customer information, property address, a detailed
description of the electrical work performed, test results for safety
checks, and compliance declarations. All information must be accurate and
legible.
Failing to provide a CCEW when required can result in significant penalties,
including fines up to \$22,000 and licence suspension. It can also void
insurance claims related to the electrical work, create liability issues,
and may require the work to be re-inspected and certified at additional
cost.
## Using the tool
No. This is an independent, professional tool designed to help NSW
electricians create CCEW forms efficiently. It is not affiliated with, or
endorsed by, any NSW government agency like Fair Trading or SafeWork NSW.
The generated PDF is formatted to meet official requirements, but you are
responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
The PDF generated by our tool is formatted to mirror the official NSW CCEW
layout and includes all mandatory fields as per current regulations.
However, compliance is ultimately your responsibility. Always double-check
that the information you've entered is accurate and that the completed form
meets all current legal and local requirements before signing and issuing
it.
We use industry-standard security practices including encryption and secure
data storage. Your client and job-specific data is processed securely, and
for users with accounts, profile data (like your name and licence number) is
stored encrypted in our database. We never share your data with third
parties and you can delete your account and data at any time.
When you're logged in, you can save an installer profile and a tester
profile. This information is stored securely and linked to your account. The
next time you fill out a form, you can load your saved profile instantly,
saving significant time and reducing typos.
You can fill out and preview CCEW forms without an account. However, to
download the completed PDF, you need to create a free account. This gives
you 3 downloads per month at no cost.
Pro users get access to smart address autocomplete that speeds up property
address entry, and NSW licence lookup tools that help verify electrician
licence details. These features save time and reduce errors when filling out
forms.
The generated PDF is a final document and cannot be edited directly. If you
find a mistake, simply return to the web form, correct the information, and
generate a new, updated PDF. If you have Form Saving toggled on, you can
retreive a copy of your previous CCEW to edit it and redownload the
certificate.
## Account and pricing
You can fill out and preview CCEW forms without an account. However, to
download the completed PDF, you need to create a free account. Free accounts
get 3 downloads per month. Pro accounts get unlimited downloads plus smart
lookup features and advanced form management.
Yes, there's no catch. Creating an account and using up to 3 downloads per
month is completely free forever. For users who need more downloads, we
offer an affordable Pro plan with unlimited downloads, smart address/licence
lookup, and enhanced profile features with quick prefilling. No setup fees,
no contracts, and no per-circuit pricing.
Download limits apply only to generating final PDF certificates. You can
preview PDFs unlimited times, edit forms as much as needed, and load saved
forms without affecting your limit. Only when you click "Download PDF" for a
completed certificate does it count toward your monthly limit of 3 (Free) or
unlimited (Pro).
Download limits reset on the first day of each calendar month. If you use
all 3 downloads in January, you'll get 3 new downloads on February 1st. Pro
users never hit limits regardless of usage.
Pro users get unlimited downloads, smart address autocomplete with Google
Maps, NSW licence lookup and verification, saved installer and tester
profiles with quick prefilling, access to unlimited saved forms history, and
priority support. It's designed for busy electricians who need efficiency
and reliability.
Yes, you can cancel your Pro subscription anytime through your account
billing page. You'll continue to have Pro access until the end of your
current billing period, then automatically return to the free plan with 3
downloads per month.
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards through our secure Stripe
payment processing.
## Technical support
First, ensure you're signed in and haven't exceeded your download limit.
Then check that all required fields are complete. If your browser is
blocking downloads, check your pop-up blocker settings and temporarily
disable ad-blocker extensions. Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox,
Safari, or Edge) if the problem persists.
Our tool is tested and optimised for the latest versions of Google Chrome,
Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge. For the best experience,
we recommend keeping your browser updated.
You need an internet connection to load the tool, log in, and download PDFs.
While you can fill out forms offline once loaded, an internet connection is
required to save profiles, sync data, and generate the final PDF download.
You can delete your account and all associated data through your account
settings page. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your saved
profiles, form history, and subscription information will be permanently
removed.
We're constantly improving based on user feedback. Contact us at
[support@ccew.com.au](mailto:support@ccew.com.au) to send suggestions,
report issues, or request features. We appreciate all feedback and use it to
make the tool better for everyone.
# Address search
Source: https://docs.ccew.com.au/features/address-search
Smart address autocomplete with Google Maps integration and visual verification for accurate job locations
## Smart address entry with visual verification
CCEW's address search feature provides intelligent autocomplete powered by Google Maps, ensuring accurate property addresses for compliance and record-keeping. The system automatically adapts based on your subscription tier to provide the best experience for all users.
CCEW combines intelligent address autocomplete with visual map verification, helping you quickly enter accurate addresses and verify job locations with confidence.
## Smart address search
### Intelligent autocomplete
CCEW provides different address search experiences based on your subscription tier:
**Smart autocomplete** powered by Google Maps provides:
* Real-time address suggestions as you type
* Australia-specific address filtering
* Automatic field population with properly formatted addresses
* Visual map verification for selected addresses
Pro users get the most sophisticated address search with instant autocomplete and map verification.
**Manual address entry** with helpful features:
* Clear address field labels and validation
* Australian address format guidance
* Field-by-field completion assistance
* Full form validation to ensure compliance
Free users can still enter addresses accurately using the manual fields, with upgrade prompts to access smart autocomplete.
**Pro users:** Begin entering the street number and name in any address field. Suggestions will appear as you type.
**Free users:** Click "Show address fields" to reveal individual address entry fields.
**Pro users:** Click the correct address from the dropdown list. All address fields are automatically populated.
**Free users:** Fill out each address field manually, ensuring accuracy for compliance requirements.
Both methods ensure proper formatting for NSW compliance requirements.
**Pro users:** Use the map verification feature to confirm the location visually, then manually adjust any fields if corrections are needed.
Click the map icon next to any populated address to see the location on Google Maps.
### Best practices for address entry
Start with the street number and name for best results (e.g., "123 Main St").
This gives the most accurate suggestions.
Use address verification after entering addresses to confirm you have the
correct location before travelling to the job.
## Visual address verification
Pro users can visually verify addresses using integrated Google Maps to ensure accuracy before finalising the form.
### Map verification features
See the exact property location on an interactive map to verify the address is correct.
Switch between standard, satellite, and hybrid map views for the clearest view
of the property.
Zoom in to see precise property boundaries and confirm the exact installation
location.
Instantly verify that the autocomplete selection matches the actual property location.
### How to use map verification
Use the smart autocomplete to select an address from the suggestions.
Look for the map icon next to the address field and click it to open the
verification modal.
Check that the map marker appears at the correct property location. Use zoom and map type controls as needed.
If the map shows an incorrect location, go back and refine your address selection or enter the address manually.
Once verified, close the map modal and continue with your form.
### Interactive map confirmation
When you enter an address using smart search, click the map icon to open a detailed verification view showing the actual property location.
View high-resolution satellite images of the actual property to confirm location and layout.
See surrounding streets and neighbourhood context to understand access and
location.
View property boundaries and layout where available from council data.
Check for parking availability, narrow streets, and access considerations.
### When to use verification
Before heading to a job in an area you don't know well, check the map to understand property layout and access points.
For industrial sites, apartment complexes, or large residential properties,
aerial view helps you understand scale and locate the correct building.
When dealing with unit numbers, rear properties, or shared driveways,
satellite view clarifies the exact location.
Check access considerations, parking availability, and property layout before arriving on site.
### Map features
**Interactive controls:**
* Zoom in/out to see property details or neighbourhood context
* Switch between satellite and street map views
* Full-screen mode for detailed property inspection
* Direct linking to Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation
**Property information:**
* Accurate positioning using official address coordinates
* Current imagery updated regularly from satellite feeds
* Property boundaries where available from council data
* Surrounding context for neighbourhood understanding
## Benefits for electricians
### Avoid costly mistakes
Never arrive at the wrong property again. Visual confirmation prevents costly mistakes and customer confusion.
Understand property layout before arrival, helping you bring the right equipment and plan your approach.
Show customers you're well-prepared by understanding their property layout and
access requirements.
Reduce travel time with accurate addresses and better route planning using
verified locations.
Professional preparation demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to service quality.
## Troubleshooting
* Check your internet connection
* Try entering fewer characters initially (street number + first few letters)
* Refresh the page if the problem persists
* Consider using a different browser if issues continue
* Try entering a nearby street or suburb, then edit fields manually - Some new
developments may not be in Google Maps yet - Use manual entry for rural or
very new addresses - Double-check spelling and try alternative street name
formats
* Verify internet connection is stable - Check if location services are
enabled in your browser - Try refreshing the page or clearing browser cache -
Some very remote locations may have limited satellite imagery
* Use manual entry for addresses not found in search
* Verify all fields carefully for compliance requirements
* Consider using nearest town or landmark for reference
* Contact customer to confirm address details if uncertain
## Privacy and data usage
The map feature uses publicly available satellite imagery and address data. No
personal or private information about properties is accessed or stored.
All map data is provided by Google Maps and follows their privacy and usage policies. CCEW does not store or cache any map imagery or location data.

# Draft forms
Source: https://docs.ccew.com.au/features/draft-forms
Automatically save your work-in-progress forms to the cloud with intelligent auto-save and cross-device synchronisation
CCEW's cloud draft auto-save feature automatically saves your in-progress forms to your account as you fill them out. This feature ensures your work is never lost and allows you to seamlessly continue forms across different devices.
Draft auto-save is a **Pro subscription feature** that works alongside your existing saved completed forms. Drafts save your work-in-progress automatically, while saved forms store completed and downloaded forms.
## How draft auto-save works
When enabled, the draft auto-save feature:
* **Automatically saves** your form data every few seconds as you type
* **Creates one draft** per form session
* **Updates the same draft** rather than creating multiple versions
* **Works across devices** - start on desktop, continue on mobile
* **Preserves your work** if you accidentally close your browser or lose connection
* **Requires no manual action** - everything happens automatically in the background
### Save timing
The system uses intelligent saving intervals:
* **Edit saves**: Automatically saves a few seconds after you stop typing
* **Periodic saves**: Additional safety net saves every 15 seconds
* **Real-time feedback**: Save status indicator shows when drafts are being saved or have been saved
## Enabling draft auto-save
Draft auto-save is available to Pro subscribers and must be enabled in your account preferences.
Draft auto-save requires a Pro subscription. If you're on the free plan, upgrade to Pro first.
Get draft auto-save and other Pro features
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and then click **Manage account** to open your account settings.
In the account settings modal, click on **Draft Forms** in the navigation menu.

## Managing draft retention
You can control how long draft forms are stored before being automatically deleted.
### Available retention periods
* **1 day** - For temporary work
* **3 days** - Short-term projects
* **7 days** - Weekly projects
* **14 days** - Bi-weekly workflows
* **30 days** - Monthly projects (default)
* **90 days** - Long-term storage
### Setting retention preferences
Open your account settings and navigate to **Draft Forms**.
Below the auto-save toggle, find the **Draft retention** dropdown (visible when auto-save is enabled).
Choose how long drafts should be kept. Drafts older than your selected timeframe will be automatically deleted.
Changing retention settings affects all existing drafts. Drafts older than your new setting will be removed.
## Viewing and managing drafts
When you have drafts saved, they appear in a table in your **Draft Forms** section.
### Draft information displayed
Each draft shows:
* **Updated**: When the draft was last saved
* **Customer**: Customer name from the form (if entered)
* **Suburb**: Installation or customer suburb (if entered)
* **Serial**: Installation serial number (if entered)
* **Actions**: Options to load or delete the draft
Drafts are automatically sorted by last update time, with the most recently modified drafts appearing first.
### Loading draft forms
To continue working on a saved draft:
Go to your account setting's **Draft Forms** section.
Locate the draft you want to continue in the **Draft forms** table.
Click the pencil icon in the **Actions** column.
The form will open with all your previously entered data, and auto-save will continue from where you left off.
### Deleting individual drafts
To remove a specific draft:
In your **Draft Forms** section, find the draft in the table.
Click the trash icon in the **Actions** column.
Click **Delete** in the confirmation dialog.
This permanently removes the draft and cannot be undone.
## Cross-device synchronisation
One of the key benefits of draft auto-save is the ability to work on forms across multiple devices.
### How it works
1. **Start on any device**: Begin filling out a form on your computer, tablet, or phone
2. **Automatic sync**: Your progress is automatically saved to the cloud
3. **Switch devices**: Open CCEW on another device and sign in to your account
4. **Continue seamlessly**: Load your draft and continue exactly where you left off
## Privacy and data handling
Your draft data is handled with the same security standards as completed forms:
* **Encrypted storage** in secure cloud infrastructure
* **Private to your account** - only you can access your drafts
* **Automatic cleanup** based on your retention settings
* **Immediate removal** when you delete your account
### Disabling draft auto-save
When you disable draft auto-save:
1. **New forms** stop auto-saving to the cloud (local storage continues)
2. **Existing drafts** remain accessible until you choose to delete them
3. **Confirmation dialog** lets you keep existing drafts or delete them all
## Troubleshooting
Check that:
* You have a Pro subscription
* Cloud draft auto-save is enabled in your Draft Forms preferences
* You're signed in to your account
* Your internet connection is stable
The save status indicator will show "Error" if there are connectivity issues.
Ensure that:
* You're signed in to the same account on both devices
* The draft was created after enabling cloud auto-save
* The draft hasn't exceeded your retention period
* You're looking in the Draft Forms section of your user profile
This is likely due to:
* Retention settings automatically deleting old drafts
* Accidentally bulk-deleting drafts when disabling the feature
* The drafts exceeding the maximum retention period
Check your retention settings and consider increasing the timeframe for future drafts.
Auto-save uses intelligent timing:
* Waits 2.5 seconds after you stop typing to avoid constant saves
* Performs safety saves every 15 seconds regardless of typing
* May be delayed by slow internet connections
The status indicator shows when saves are in progress or completed.
No, draft saving is fully automatic. Manual saves aren't needed or available. The system automatically detects changes and saves them using optimized timing.
## Differences from saved forms
It's important to understand how drafts differ from the existing saved forms feature:
| Feature | Draft Forms | Saved Forms |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| **When saved** | Automatically while filling out | When completing and downloading PDF |
| **Subscription** | Pro only | Available to all users |
| **Status** | Work-in-progress | Completed forms |
| **Retention** | 1-90 days (configurable) | Indefinite (until account deletion) |
| **Purpose** | Prevent work loss, cross-device editing | Form history and re-editing completed forms |
| **Storage** | One current version per form session | Multiple completed forms |
Both features work together to provide comprehensive form management for different stages of your workflow.
## Best practices
Choose a retention period that matches your typical project timeframes. Electrical contractors might prefer 30-90 days for ongoing jobs.
Take advantage of cross-device sync by starting forms on your computer and finishing them on-site with a mobile device.
Keep an eye on the save status to ensure your work is being preserved, especially in areas with poor connectivity.
Periodically review and delete draft forms you no longer need to keep your workspace organized.
# NSW licence search
Source: https://docs.ccew.com.au/features/licence-search
Verify NSW electrical licence details with real-time database integration, automatic field population, and compliance validation
The NSW Licence Search feature connects directly to the official NSW Government database to verify electrician licence details and automatically populate licence information. This Pro-only feature ensures accuracy and saves time while maintaining compliance.
## What is NSW licence search?
NSW Licence Search connects to the official NSW database to verify electrician licence numbers and automatically fill in licence details including expiry dates, licence holder names, and status information. It's available in both Installer and Tester sections of the CCEW form.
Direct integration with NSW Government API provides current, accurate
licence information from the official database.
Results are automatically filtered to show only current, active licences for
compliance assurance.
## How to use
In the Installer or Tester Details section, click the magnifying glass icon next to the licence number field.
Free users will see an upgrade prompt to access this feature.
Type either:
* **Licence number** for direct licence lookup
* **Licence holder name** for name-based searching
Use at least 2 characters to start the search. The system supports partial name matching.
The system displays matching licences with:
* Licence holder name and company
* Licence number and type
* Expiry date and current status
* Location information
Only current, active licences are shown to ensure compliance.
Choose the correct licence from the search results. The system will auto-fill:
* Licence number (properly formatted)
* Licence expiry date
* Licence holder details
Always verify the selected licence belongs to the correct person before proceeding.
Review the auto-filled information and make any necessary manual adjustments before completing your form.
## Benefits
Eliminate typos and incorrect licence numbers that could cause compliance
issues.
Auto-fill licence details instead of manually entering each field.
Verify licence validity and expiry dates from the official database.
Present accurate, verified information to customers and regulators.
## Best practices
Always verify the licence details after auto-filling, especially for licences
that may have been recently renewed or updated.
If a licence search returns no results, double-check the licence number or
contact the licence holder to verify the correct number.
## Troubleshooting
Verify the licence number is correct and current. Some recently issued
licences may take time to appear in the database.
Check your internet connection. If the problem persists, try refreshing the
page or using manual entry.
Contact the licence holder to verify their current details, as the database
may not reflect recent changes.

# Smart form features
Source: https://docs.ccew.com.au/features/smart-form-features
Auto-save, serial number helper, and intelligent validation that make CCEW forms reliable and error-free
## Intelligent features for reliable completion
CCEW includes several smart features that work behind the scenes to protect your work, maintain compliance, and prevent errors. These features ensure every certificate is completed accurately and efficiently.
## Auto-save protection
### Never lose your work
Form auto-save automatically protects your progress as you type, ensuring you never lose work due to browser crashes, power outages, or accidental navigation.
As soon as you begin entering information in any field, auto-save begins working automatically.
Your data is saved locally every few seconds as you type, with no action required.
Works completely in the background without interrupting your workflow.
If you close the browser and return later, your data is restored automatically when you return to the form.
### Privacy and security
Your form data is stored locally in your browser, not uploaded to our servers.

# Certification
Source: https://docs.ccew.com.au/form-guide/sections/certification
Make your legal declaration of compliance and understand the importance of the CCEW serial number and certification statement
This page explains how to make your legal declaration of compliance and understand the importance of the CCEW serial number and certification statement. This is the most critical part of the CCEW, as it carries your personal and professional responsibility.
## CCEW serial number management
Every CCEW requires a unique serial number for regulatory traceability and professional accountability. Proper serial number management is essential for compliance and record-keeping.
### Serial number format and rules
**Format:** `[YourLicenceNumber][SequentialNumber]`
**Example:** Licence `444444C` → First CCEW: `444444C001`, Second: `444444C002`
The sequential number should be zero-padded to three digits (001, 002, etc.)
The platform includes a serial number helper that suggests your next sequential number based on previous CCEWs, reducing errors and maintaining continuity.
Always double-check the serial number before final submission to avoid duplicates or sequence gaps.
Keep a personal log of all CCEW serial numbers issued as a backup reference for your professional records.
### Serial number best practices
* **Maintain sequence:** Never skip numbers or create duplicates
* **Keep records:** Document every serial number issued with job details
* **Regular review:** Periodically audit your serial number sequence for gaps
* **Backup system:** Maintain offline records independent of digital systems
## Legal compliance declaration
The certification checkbox represents your professional guarantee of compliance and accuracy. This declaration carries significant legal weight and professional responsibility.
### Declaration requirements
Confirm all information provided in the CCEW is true, correct, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Certify work complies with all applicable standards including Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2017, Regulation 2018, and AS/NZS 3000.
### Legal implications and responsibilities
**Legal Liability:** This declaration is legally binding. False or misleading information can result in:
* Significant financial penalties
* Professional licence suspension or cancellation
* Criminal prosecution for serious breaches
* Professional reputation and career damage
Before checking the compliance box, verify:
* All technical information is accurate
* Testing was performed correctly and completely
* Work meets all applicable standards
* Documentation is complete and correct
Only check the compliance box when you are completely confident in the accuracy and compliance of the work and documentation.
After declaration, perform a final review of the completed CCEW before generation to ensure no errors remain.
**Professional Integrity:** Your certification is your professional guarantee of safe, compliant electrical work that protects public safety and maintains industry standards.

* Look in your Draft Forms section to confirm current retention settings
* Each form session has a unique identifier for consistent draft updates
* If you loaded an existing draft or completed form, it adopts that identifier
* New forms get fresh identifiers to prevent mixing different form sessions
* Clear your browser cache if you're seeing persistent identifier conflicts
## Profile management issues
Problems with installer and tester profiles:
* Profile saving requires a user account - ensure you're logged in
* Fill in at least the essential fields (name and licence number) before saving
* Each account can save one installer profile and one tester profile
* Check that all required fields are completed before attempting to save
* Profile prefilling is a Pro feature - Free users can save profiles but cannot auto-prefill forms
* Ensure you have a saved profile to load (check your account settings)
* Try refreshing the page and attempting to load the profile again
* Some profile data may need to be manually updated if it's very old
* Verify you're logged into the account that has the saved profile
* Profiles save data exactly as entered - they don't auto-update
* Update and re-save your profile when licence details change
* Set calendar reminders to review profiles quarterly
* Consider saving separate profiles for different roles (installer vs tester)
* Profile access may be limited when downgrading from Pro to Free
* Your profiles still exist but may not be accessible until you upgrade again
* Essential profile data is typically still available on Free accounts
* Contact support if you've lost critical profile information
