# Managing your account

> Comprehensive guide to creating, managing, and optimising your CCEW account for maximum efficiency and security

You'll need to create a free account to download CCEW forms and access advanced features. Your account provides secure access to download tracking, profile management, subscription controls, and optional form history.

## Creating an account

    Click the "Sign in" button in the top right corner of the page.

      The sign-in button is always visible in the navigation bar.

    You can sign up using your email address or your Google account.

      Using a Google account is the fastest way to sign up and provides additional
      security.

    Follow the prompts to complete your account creation.

      Account creation takes less than 30 seconds and requires only basic information.

## Viewing your profile

To access your account management, click on your profile picture in the top right corner to open your user profile modal. From here, you can manage all aspects of your account and access different sections.

### Download usage tracking

Your account automatically tracks PDF download usage:

    * **Monthly limit:** 3 downloads per month
    * **Reset date:** First day of each calendar month
    * **Usage display:** Shows downloads used and remaining
    * **Limit reached:** Upgrade prompts when limit exceeded

    * **Usage tracking:** Download activity logged for billing transparency
    * **No restrictions:** Generate as many certificates as needed

## Upgrading to pro

If you need more than 3 downloads per month, you can upgrade to a Pro account for unlimited downloads.

## Privacy and data management

### Form data preferences

Control how your form data is handled at different stages:

    In your user profile modal, click on "Completed Forms" to access completed form data preferences.

  <Step title="Configure completed form saving">
    Use the "Save form data" toggle to enable or disable automatic saving of
    completed forms.

      When enabled, only completed forms (with downloaded PDFs) are automatically
      saved.
    </Info>

  <Step title="Access Draft Forms (Pro only)">
    Click on "Draft Forms" to manage cloud draft auto-save preferences.

  <Step title="Configure draft auto-save (Pro)">
    Use the "Save draft form data" toggle to enable automatic cloud saving of
    work-in-progress forms.

    <Tip>
      Draft auto-save works every few seconds as you type and allows cross-device
      editing.
    </Tip>

  <Step title="Manage existing data">
    When disabling either feature, choose to keep or delete existing saved data.

    <Warning>
      Deleted form data cannot be recovered, so consider your needs carefully.
    </Warning>

### Data control options

    * **Account information:** Email, authentication tokens, subscription status
    * **Profile data:** Installer/tester profiles you choose to save (encrypted)
    * **Usage tracking:** Download counts and activity timestamps
    * **Saved forms:** Completed form data only if preference is enabled (encrypted)
    * **Draft forms:** Work-in-progress form data if cloud draft auto-save is enabled (Pro feature, encrypted)

    * **Customer information:** Unless you explicitly save completed forms -
      **Payment details:** Handled by Stripe, never stored by CCEW - **Incomplete
      drafts:** Only saved if cloud draft auto-save is enabled and you're on Pro -
      **PDF content:** Generated certificates are not stored on our servers

    * **Individual forms:** Delete specific saved forms from your history
    * **Individual drafts:** Delete specific draft forms from your Draft Forms section
    * **Bulk form deletion:** Remove all saved forms when disabling the preference
    * **Bulk draft deletion:** Remove all draft forms when disabling auto-save
    * **Profile deletion:** Remove saved installer/tester profiles anytime
    * **Account deletion:** Complete removal of all account data permanently

## Account management

### Logging out

To log out of your account, click on your name in the top right corner of the page and select "Log out".

  You'll remain logged in until you manually log out or clear your browser data.

### Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings page.

<Warning>
  This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your saved profiles, form
  history, and subscription information will be permanently removed.

    Go to your profile and select "Account Settings".

    Scroll to the bottom of the settings page to find the delete account option.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm deletion">
    You'll be asked to confirm your decision before the account is permanently deleted.

      Make sure you have backed up any important data before proceeding.
